Why did you choose a career in gaming industry?
I chose a career in the gaming industry because I wanted to make my passion into my career. I have always loved video games since I was a kid. I am honored to work in the gaming industry along with some of the best industry talent here at Certain Affinity.
What motivates and inspires you?
I feel motivated by the number of opportunities to continue learning and expand my skill set. I find that I am most engaged when I am working on challenging projects that allow me to push myself. Additionally, I feel honored to work alongside knowledgeable and tenured colleagues who can help me learn and grow in my career.
What’s something you wish you knew earlier in your career?
I wish I knew I could lean on myself and not doubt my capabilities. I wish I knew it is ok to make mistakes since they give me opportunities to learn and grow.
What advice would you give to someone considering a job in the gaming industry?
If you love games and it’s a part of who you are, then that will shine through during any interview! Social media is a good way to connect and network with other women in the industry, find new opportunities and get advice/encouragement. You can find lots of groups like Women in Games WIGJ.
