Talent Acquisition Specialist

The best candidate for this full time position will have the ability to juggle many balls at once with confidence while maintaining a constructive, diplomatic style. They must be able to represent Certain Affinity professionally and positively in all external and internal interactions. We need a highly collaborative team player who likes to see things to the finish line and truly understands that a strong HR team is critical to a successful company.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be an anchor for our sourcing, attracting, recruiting, interviewing and hiring efforts. They will work with hiring managers to most effectively hire top candidates. Recruiting is the primary function of this position but given the ebb and flow of hiring, this position will also assist with other business team needs in the areas of university relations, training, and social and community support.

Responsibilities

    • Work with hiring managers to implement an effective recruitment plan
    • Effectively orchestrate full-lifecycle candidate flow for all positions, ensuring all recruiting and hiring processes are followed, offering input and recommendations for any improvements
    • Communicate with applicants and candidates to ensure positive experience regardless of hiring outcome (timely, diplomatically)
    • Promote CA positions consistently through social media
    • As needed, organize and participate in employment events
    • Partner with HR and managers to develop and manage university relations and recruiting strategy
    • Develop/maintain relationships with identified schools, universities, and other educational programs
    • Partner with Finance to coordinate recruiting efforts with governmental programs that would be beneficial to the company
    • Maintain CA employee referral program
    • Help manage the administration of HR related technology systems and become SME for our applicant tracking system
    • Help coordinate continuative onboarding efforts and training of new hires
    • Help coordinate career growth opportunities for employees
    • Manage the tracking, tasking, and follow-up for a variety of side project requests that could include:
      • Update of company promotional materials
      • Update of assets
      • Event planning
      • Confluence expansion for non-product development related areas of the company
      • Coordinating speaking engagements for employees
      • Acting as the point person for company social groups and organizations; maintain centralized information and evangelism for these groups.
      • Managing and organizing the backlog of recruiting data
      • Obtaining playtest pipeline and focus group participants
      • Track, record, and close on ‘side-project’ requests by CA employees, coordinating with PIA process.
      • Scheduling business travel
      • Other projects as needed

Requirements & Skills

    • 5+ years professional administrative, recruiting, or related experience
    • 2+ years full time in recruiting, university relations or related talent acquisition work
    • Familiarity with recruiting processes, managing pipelines and process flows
    • Able to work effectively in a variety of situations and environments, and with widely varying personalities
    • Trustworthy with highly confidential information
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – communicates diplomatically, clearly and effectively
    • Adaptable – able to thrive in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
    • Superb customer focus
    • Organized thinking, attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency in processes
    • Strong MS Office skills (merge docs, basic spreadsheets, power point)

Extra Credit

    • Multiple years HR and/or recruiting experience
    • Recruiting in tech, software development or entertainment industry
    • Familiarity working in ADP HRIS a strong plus
    • Gmail: calendaring, google docs
    • Strong writing ability (clear and effective with a little flair)
