We’ve co-developed multiple products for the Call of Duty and Halo franchises, as we’ve launched a few of our own games as well.
As a Senior Technical Artist at Certain Affinity, you’ll get the chance to see some of the custom tools and pipelines behind the world’s biggest shooters, and contribute to our own proprietary technology.

The Senior Technical Artist will:
- Maintain integrity of art pipelines by identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements
- Develop tools in Python/Pymel and promote best practices for artists
- Facilitate communication between artists and programmers
- Collaborate with a diverse team to promote innovation and refine the visual quality of our games.
Requirements:
- 5+ years game industry experience, 3+ specifically in a technical artist role
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Graphic Art or related field
- Experience working on wide range of projects, both in terms of art tools, graphics engines and game hardware
- Shipped 1+ AAA title as a Technical Artist
- Expert-level familiarity with environment art creation and workflow, especially with an eye on performance and memory management
- Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills
- Excellent training and mentoring skills
- High technical proficiency in areas such as lighting, rendering, and texturing as it applies to material and shader creation (HLSL)
- Expert-level familiarity with Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop
- Able to present (internally and externally) clear vision of how work addresses problems and requirements
- Able to envision creative ways to leverage ideas and technologies
- Able to advise on, research and explore a variety of graphics systems and middleware packages
- Able to integrate big picture through multiple mediums.
