Certain Affinity is looking for an experienced HR leader to help our rapidly growing company attract and retain the best and brightest talent. In this role you will work closely with the leadership and management team to develop, implement and drive company-wide human resources solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day human resources function and support, including HR record keeping, HR system management, and legal compliance.
  • Drive awareness and promotion of the company’s culture and core values.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on all performance management and HR issues; coach and advise employees and managers on HR policies and processes; identify practical solutions to employee issues that reflect the company’s culture.
  • Act as an informal career coach and facilitator, and develop and maintain formal training and career development resources and initiatives.
  • Build management knowledge and capability to facilitate an open and inclusive environment that enables effective, positive employee relations.
  • Manage the company’s recruiting efforts and participate hands-on in recruiting and recruiting activities, as needed; drive promotion of the company among prospective recruiting sources.
  • Partner with senior management and department leads to develop, deploy, and maintain career ladders and performance review tools and processes.
  • Lead HR projects by developing strategies that meet the needs of the business, establishing and managing against project plans and metrics, and ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Partner with other directors to maintain best-in-class benefits programs and manage benefits education, enrollment, and compliance.
  • Partner with the business and leadership team to facilitate organizational design and ensure effective and positive change management.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of directly applicable HR experience including leadership in various HR functions.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a software development, entertainment or interactive company.
  • Formal Education/Training:
    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field
    • Preferred: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management or related field
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, change management and organization development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated competence in developing, managing, and administering human resources programs, managing and resolving employee grievances and performance issues, coaching, career counseling, and applying concepts of employment law.
  • Ability to multi-task, embrace ambiguity, understand organizational dynamics and culture, recognize trends and identify systematic approaches to solving complex problems.
  • Competence and confidence working with people at all levels in the organization, coaching leaders, and understanding of the games business.
  • Strong proven business partner experience in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; excellent project and time management skills; strong problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills; ability to design and conduct training, willingness to learn AND to teach, and a passion for collaboration.
  • HR experience in a Game Development studio strongly preferred.
